I recently discovered the hundreds of photos I took at the 2009 Dragon's Den 'Children in Need' special we took part in. After our pitch in the Den the BBC contacted us to ask if we can spare some time to help the Dragons and fellow entrepreneurs renovate 'Middlepark Community Centre' in Eltham during October 2009. We naturally said yes and it was a great week.
I am still going through the photos to select the best ones from the event, but these caught my attention straight away and I wanted to share them on here.
We donated one of our canvases for the renovated centre and Theo volunteered to help us put it on the wall. It started of course with meticulous measuring and aligning as you would expect from a hands-on multi-millionaire. He was definitely in charge...
When we could not find any of the builders to drill a hole and place a screw in the wall for us, Theo just took control of the situation. He picked up a drill, grabbed the stepladders and just went for it. The look on his face says it all..!
When the screw was firmly in place, Theo and Hartwig grabbed the canvas to put it on the wall. After some debate on which way is best to hang it they finally got on with the job.
Finally with the canvas hanging on the wall and fully balanced another Dragon came to inspect the work and join the fun. She was pleased with the results and joined in for a group photo.
Well done Theo and Hartwig - Job very well done!
